Chef Josh Pastrama, head chef and owner of Paradise Valley Grill, is bringing his many years of experience to the Montana culinary scene, and has earned his reputation as one of Southwest Montana’s most acclaimed chefs. His culinary journey began as a young man working in California for some of Napa Valley’s finest resorts, including the Five Star rated Meadowood Country Club, and a local favorite, the Napa Valley Country Club. His exposure to the blending of fine food and incredible wines encouraged him to pursue an education at the prestigious New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont.
After graduation in 2004, Chef Pastrama’s passion for the great outdoors brought him to the Big Sky area. It was here that he was able to showcase his experience in fine food dining at some of Big Sky’s famous resorts, including: Rainbow Ranch, Lone Mountain Resort , Buck’s T-4, as well as being a private chef at the prestigious Yellowstone Club .
Chef Pastrama opened The Paradise Valley Grill in 2010 with a vision: to incorporate Napa Valley cuisine with Montana’s sustainable food products in a one-of-a kind dining experience.
His close relationship with local farmers and ranchers ensures not only the freshest ingredients, but a culinary experience that celebrates Montana’s bounty. Pastrama’s continued search for new cuisines and wines promises to bring his patrons an incredible dining experience.
